Healthy Working Wales (In-Work Service) – Please note this project has now closed.

Project description

The operation prevents job loss due to work-limiting health conditions by providing rapid access to early, work-focussed interventions, including physiotherapy, psychological therapy and occupational therapy. These will help employees on, or at risk of, a long-term sickness absence to remain in work, or to return to work sooner than would be possible without the intervention. The project is delivered by Rhyl City Strategy (RCS) in North Wales and Abertawe Bro Morganwwg University Health Board in South Wales.

Geographical coverage

The project works in selected local authority areas of Wales (see below).

  • South Wales – Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend

Specific targets

50% of participants to leave the project either with an improved labour market situation or by returning to work after a period of absence.
