Working Skills for Adults II

Project description

Working Skills for Adults is a regional project supporting working people who have only low level or no formal qualifications all across the counties of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil and Torfaen. The aim of the project is to provide support to participants to gain new skills and accredited qualifications.

The project team members will help participants identify their barriers to employment and support people on an individual basis to overcome them.

The project provides:

  • Free skills training, qualifications and vocational courses.
  • Support with job searches, CV writing and interview skills.
  • Additional support for those facing barriers to working, such as work limiting health conditions, childcare needs and transport.

Geographical coverage

The project works across Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil and Torfaen.

Essential eligibility criteria

Participants must be aged 16 years or over, employed and not hold a qualification above QCF Level 2.
