AgorIP

Project description

AgorIP is a unique innovation project working to bring ideas and inventions to life. Part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government and Swansea University, AgorIP can help investors to realise the potential of their ideas, products or research. Our team of experts help take IP to the marketplace and make it a commercial success.

AgorIP is open to anyone based anywhere in West Wales, North Wales or the Valleys.

Delivery model

AgorIP provides an Open Access Open Innovation Framework, available to academia, University Health Boards and industrial collaborators across Wales. AgorIP provides a step-change in the capability and capacity to realise value from IP in Wales.

AgorIP has been developed to provide a structured, integrated and professional framework and service to commercialise Intellectual Property through proven HEI channels. Drawing upon specialists in intellectual property, business development and commercialisation, the Framework will involve Innovation Officers supported by ‘Commercial Leads’ (procured for specific opportunities) in taking IP through to commercial exploitation.

The project will benefit all local authority areas across the West Wales and the Valleys programme area.
