Inspire 2 Achieve (West Wales and the Valleys) – Please note this project has now closed.

Project description

Inspire 2 Achieve is designed to identify and address the needs of those most at risk of disengagement, within their respective educational pathway. Project staff will offer tailored support to participants enabling them to retain or reintegrate into mainstream education provision or alternative curriculum models.

Geographical coverage

The project works in the following local authority areas of South East Wales: Bridgend, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Torfaen and Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Essential eligibility criteria

Young people (11 – 24 years old) identified through the authorities Early Identification tool as being potentially vulnerable to becoming Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) upon leaving their respective education provision.

Specific targets

  • Participants at risk of becoming NEET (11 – 24) gaining qualifications upon leaving
  • Participants at risk of becoming NEET (11 – 24) in education or training upon leaving
  • Participants at risk of becoming NEET (11 – 24) at reduced risk of becoming NEET upon leaving
