The aim of Agile Nation 2 is to promote gender equality, career advancement and improve the position of women in the workforce across all nine priority sectors in Wales with an additional two sectors, Administration and Retail. This is an important undertaking as women continue to be either underrepresented in these sectors or underrepresented in decision making positions.
By providing Career Development Programmes for women and business support for SMEs we are building a Wales where women achieve and prosper.
Career Development Programmes for Women
The programme includes learning key skills that are valuable to employers through workshops and mentoring. Individuals will also achieve an accredited Leadership and Management qualification (ILM). The Career Development Programme includes an ILM level 2 qualification
Business Support
We will provide bespoke business consultancy over a 12 month period to create and deliver an Equality and Diversity strategy to SMEs across Wales.
Both programmes are designed to support Welsh Government 9 priority sectors: Advanced Materials & Manufacturing // Construction // Creative Industries // Energy & Environment // Financial & Professional Services // Food & Farming // Information & Communication Technology // Life Sciences // Tourism. As well as Administration Services & Retail/Wholesale.
The project operates across all local authorities areas.
